Krka is one of the seven National Parks in Croatia and was formed to protect the Krka River. The whole area is rich with endemic species - vegetation as well as birds and fish. This tour will take you to the most attractive part of the park - the Skradinski Buk Waterfalls. The highest waterfall is 151 feet high which makes it the highest gypsum barrier in Europe . Above the falls there is a large plateau that offers spectacular views of the area. You will board your motor coach for the 90-minute drive to Pnsici Village and the Cetina River. For thousands of years the Cetina River has been crafting a beautiful canyon, creating miraculous forms in the stone of its riverbed. This crystal-clear river with a temperature pleasant enough for swimming, offers a true untouched nature experience. The 590-foot cliffs, cascades, lakes, underground tunnels and the 131-foot-high Gubavica Waterfall are on the agenda today. There are peaceful waters as well as Class I and II rapids interspersed during the approximately 3 - 3 1/2 -hour rafting adventure. After a lot of excitement you will arrive at the Radmanove Mlinice restaurant where you will have some refreshments and enjoy a nice lunch. After lunch you will have a 45-minute drive back to Split. Please note : Depending on the water level and with safety in mind one small section of the river may be redirected to walking.
