Woody Point on the south side of Gros Morne National Park provides easy access (10-minute drive) to the Gros Morne's Discovery Centre (primary interpretation centre). An additional 10-minute drive will take you to the Tablelands which is the landform that gave the park its UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. You will walk on the Tablelands trail looking at its unique physical nature and also looking at the distinctive plants that make this landform home. You will also get a great view of Gros Morne, the mountain the park was named after. A Parks Canada Interpreter will join you at the Tablelands to ensure that you get to hear about this region's unique geology. The Discovery Centre features exhibits that tell the story of the region's many geological highlights. After the morning excursion, you will return to the pier in Woody Point and go back on board the yacht for lunch while the yacht repositions to Norris Point. It is the second largest wooden church in North America and was struck several times by lightning: first in 1900, then in 1945, 1947 and 1980. Finally, you will visit the Maritime Museum where you will see the largest collection of wooden Titanic artifacts in the world and hear the tale of the visit to Halifax by the ship's most famous survivor, the unsinkable Molly Brown. Guests can occasionally see seals in the water, and can view small scattered islands along the coast, one being home to wild sheep and an abandoned lighthouse! After your visit to Mahone Bay, your tour will head back to the summit of Lunenburg to the site of the well-known Lunenburg Academy, where you will commence a walking tour of the town with your guide. The area within this planned grid came to be known as the "Old Town" and its unique flavor and architectural character is still derived strongly from the narrow streets and compact lots of the original plan. As the second oldest church of English origin in Canada, as well as a Canadian National Historic Site, St. John's is recognized as one of North America's best examples of Carpenter Gothic architecture. Following a major fire in 2001, St. John's has been fully restored and was re-opened in June of 2005. Enjoy a short walk from the pier to embark on an authentic wooden schooner for a leisurely private sail around Portland's Casco Bay. This once-in-a-lifetime experience begins when you board the "Bagheera" for a two-hour adventure. This legendary tall ship is a 55-ft schooner with an experienced crew who will share their knowledge of the sea and sailing ("Bagheera" was launched in 1924 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places). Sit back, relax and take in the sights of Casco's waters, listen to the barking of the harbor seals and watch for an occasional eagle. If you prefer, you can join the crew and help hoist the sails and take a turn at the ship's helm. Please note: The actual schooner used may vary based on day and time of the cruise. The schooners used are Wendameen , Timberwind , Bagherra or Vela.

The spectacular rocky coastline nearby Portland Maine is studded with lighthouses dating back over 200 years. On this half day excursion, you will see three prominent lighthouses and visit the Museum of Portland Head Light . Your journey will begin as you drive through historic Portland, passing by the Eastern Promenade offering a panoramic view of Casco Bay, the Portland Observatory, the new Arts District, as well as the thriving commercial and business districts. Your first stop will be at " Bug Light ," a steel structure lined with brick that was first lit in 1875 as an aid to navigation for this busy port. In addition, you will enjoy the Liberty Ship Memorial dedicated to the 266 ships built on the site during WWII. Your next stop will be at Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse , a typical "sparkplug" style lighthouse constructed of brick on a cylindrical cast iron caisson. Your excursion will continue as you travel along Cape Elizabeth's rocky coast to Fort Williams, once a military outpost for coastal defense and now home to Maine's oldest lighthouse, Portland Head Light. Here, you will have ample time to explore the grounds and visit the impressive museum located in the former lighthouse keeper's quarters. You will then visit Fort Williams Park located on the rocky coast in beautiful Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Fort Williams was a military outpost for coastal defense serving the United States from the Spanish-American War to the Korean War. Fort Williams is also the home of Portland Head Light, commissioned by George Washington in 1791, the oldest lighthouse in Maine and one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country. Lastly, you will visit the charming coastal village of Kennebunkport to view stunning Federal and Victorian-style homes built by wealthy sea captains and merchants in the 1700s and 1800s. Pass by two of Maine's most famous homes - the Wedding Cake House and Walker's Point, the Bush estate and former Summer White House where world leaders often visited. You will have a chance to stretch your legs in the center of town at Dock Square, where art galleries, antique shops, and upscale stores make a charming town center.
